Imagine running more than 100 miles through Death Valley, over treacherous mountain passes in the scorching heat, all by yourself. No, it’s not an image of the inner ring of hell; it’s the Badwater Ultramarathon. Each year there are countless endurance adventure races like this, all attracting the most daring and committed athletes on the planet. We’ve outlined the five most extreme events below.
Race #5: Antarctic Ice Marathon – Union Glacier, Antarctica
While the classic 26.2-mile distance may seem easily attainable to many seasoned runners, adding Antarctica to the mix will certainly cause anyone to think twice. The Southernmost Marathon on Earth is held at Union Glacier, one of the most difficult places to fly to in the entire world. While weather and terrain vary vastly from year to year, the entirety of the race is run on frozen waters and the temperature usually peaks around -4 degrees Fahrenheit. Even with a steep entry fee of more than $14,000, this race always sells out quickly.
The HydraQuiver Single-Barrel from Orange Mud-The Best Invention for People Prone to Tripping When They Have To Hold Stuff
Thanks to Stephanie C for writing such a hilarious review!
After a meager decade of running, I was reminiscing to a fellow runner I just met at the Destin 50 miler about all those various pieces of gear I've purchased to hold my water bottle so I can trot happily down the road. And yes, I like to reminisce with people I don't know. Granted, it takes longer......
Kind of funny. We got this back from the post office for a package that we sent to a customer. This was a 12" x 12" x 6" tall box carrying a HydraQuiver. It came back a flat piece of cardboard from just the lid of the box. It's a good thing that they care though (see the "We Care" sticker), that's very nice of them. Do they care enough to refund shipping and the awesome hydration pack that was in it? Nope! Oh well....hopefully someone found the HydraQuiver wherever it ended up and got some use of it. Since it's built rock solid, I'm guessing it survived this issue. Guess that's our new tagline, "HydraQuiver, built so tough that even the post office can't destroy it".

Specialized makes some rad bikes, but they make some killer water bottles too. In our opinion, they are the best in the business. Want to learn more about the bottle, the brand, and their rock solid people? Check the video. Made in the USA, BPA Free, and built to take a beating. Nice to see our contact Chuck highlighted here too. He's a solid dude behind the brand.
