We've designed this pack for big adventures so you can go long in terms of storage, comfort, and functionality. The Adventure Pack 12L 3.0 features a zipper secured top closure for easy access and a compression system which stabilizes by compressing the pack vertically and horizontally. 

Front: 

  • Two chest pockets fit plus sized phones and 500/600ml soft flasks.
  • Two velcro secured pockets in front of the flask pockets are for gels/trash/misc.
  • Two shoulder pockets are for your phone, chapstick, and nutrition. Purchase flask here: Soft Flask The nylon chest harness works wonderfully for ladies and just as well for guys. Sizing is versatile from very petite up to about a 50" chest.
  • 2 tabs per side, used for storing trekking poles up front with this Multi Use Trekking Pole Hardware.  

Right side: Has a 9" long zippered opening for access to maps, jackets, headlamps. The pocket reaches across the pack which creates an interior baffle as well as a large pocket. 

Left Side: Features a large pocket which holds most any water bottle or flask. 

Back:  The 1" bar tacked nylon on the back works great for holding trekking poles with our optional Trekking Pole upgrade. You can buy it here if you don't at the time of purchase.  Otherwise select the one with trekking pole hardware if you want them to be stored on the back of the pack. Note-The pack does not come with Trekking Poles and they are only shown for illustration purposes.

Interior: The interior has 3 compartments. 1st is the bladder pocket which holds a 2L bladder (included) but can hold a 3L also. 2nd is the main cargo for bulky gear, and the third is for light jackets.

Excellent bag some improvements possible

I love this pack for how it fits how much I can stuff in it, how snuggly it holds without chaffing and the drinking system which works very well. I have used it for all sorts of outdoor adventures but I particularly like how it excels for trail running and ultras!

Some things got me a little flustered though. It’s now waterproof! I was surprised lately in the mountains by an admittedly pretty bad storm and found the interior wet and my spare clothes too. That was a bummer and I guess it leaks through the holes for the water system and the zipper possibly. On the latter I think a welded zipper would have been great or at least one that is a bit sturdier.

All in all 4/5 for me but still my go to for mountain running.

Good so far...ity.

Construction and durability seem to be good. No bounce and plenty of capacity.

Why not 5 stars? Drink tube is a tad bit short, the side zip pocket is not easy to get to without taking pack off, and lack of zip pockets on front.

Best thing I have bought in several years.

I purchased this vest for hiking, especially where rock scrambling involved, and via ferrata. I had looked at the models most often hyped, but I honestly was not impressed. Then, I came across the Orange Mud Adventure 12L.

It appeared to have everything I wanted and more, so I quickly placed an order. Was shocked when I put it on: I could easily dial the fit, and the weight was ideally balance fore and aft. Storage is extremely well thought out, and the bungee arrangement on the bag with the stuff packet are awesome. It comes with a 2L hydration bladder, saving you $35.

Can't say enough nice about this offering.

The Bigger, Bolder Pack

If the Endurance Pack V3.0 is the scrappy underdog, the Adventure 12L 3.0 is its glow-up sibling who shows up, takes charge, and has no problem stealing the spotlight. This vest is an adventure-seeker’s dream and near-perfect in just about every way. Let’s talk about why I’m obsessed—because there’s a lot to love.

Fit & Feel

Finally, a vest that gets it. The Adventure 12L doesn’t just fit—it fits. It hugs you like it was made for you, without feeling like it’s trying to be your corset. For those of us who need a little extra room or just want more functionality, this pack delivers. The added space solves all the little gripes I had with the Endurance 3.0 and then some.

Only shows 5 starts but it's actually a 10 out of 10.

Perfectly designed and extremely well built. I a HydraQuiver Vest Pack for shorter daily activities, it’s ideal for a few miles in the summer heat and also an Adventure Pack for longer trail activities.

This company does not skimp on quality and better yet their customer service is second to none. Originally I purchased a 1L Gear Vest along with the HydraQuiver, from a capacity standpoint they held about the same amount of gear and water. The team at Orange Mud worked with me to exchange the gear vest for some thing that was better suited for my needs.

I highly recommend any of these pack. I’m already a repeat customer and will be buying more over the upcoming year.
