Every Orange Mud pack, vest, wrap and flask carries a 365-day warranty against manufacturing defects, plus a 30-day money-back return. Sweat in it. If it fails, we fix it.

And we mean fix. We have a seamstress on staff. Most repairs happen in our own shop rather than being written off and replaced.

Doesn’t fit? We’ll alter it, free

If you are a larger runner and one of our packs does not fit the way it should, send it to us and we will modify it to fit you — at no charge. Straps, torso length, closures. We do a few of these every month and we have never charged for one.

You should not have to guess whether a vest will fit before you buy it. Order your size, run in it, and if it needs adjusting, email us.

What the 365-day warranty covers

For one full year from the date of purchase, we cover anything that goes wrong because of how the product was made:

  • Stitching that comes apart
  • Zippers, buckles, clips and elastic that fail in normal use
  • Bladders, flasks and bite valves that leak through no fault of the user
  • Hardware that breaks or separates from the fabric
  • Fabric that tears without impact or abrasion damage

What it does not cover

  • Normal wear from use — fading, pilling, and the softening that comes with miles
  • Crash, fall or abrasion damage
  • Damage from improper washing or drying. See our washing guide.
  • Products bought secondhand or from an unauthorised seller
  • Loss or theft

Not sure which side of that line your problem falls on? Contact us anyway. We would rather look at it than have you guess — and if it is repairable, we will usually just repair it.

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Email sales@orangemud.com with the subject line “Warranty claim”.
  2. Include: your order number (or the approximate purchase date and where you bought it), the product name, and photos of the problem. Two or three clear photos are usually enough.
  3. We reply within one business day with either a repair, a replacement, or a return authorisation.
  4. If we need the item back, we send you the return authorisation and the shipping address, and we cover shipping both ways on a defect. Do not ship anything before you have that authorisation — unmarked returns are hard to trace back to you.

We repair in house

Most brands in this category replace or refuse. We have a seamstress on staff, so a failed seam, a torn pocket or a blown-out zip is usually something we can sew rather than scrap. It is the same shop that stitches custom embroidery onto Transition Wraps for running stores and teams.

That is also why we ask for photos first — nine times out of ten they tell us whether it is a five-minute repair or a replacement.

After the year is up

Contact us anyway. We have been building this gear since 2012 and we would rather keep a pack on the trail than see it in a landfill.

There is no formal cover after 365 days, but in practice we do not charge for repairs unless the damage is severe and self-inflicted. And if your gear is genuinely destroyed — the dog got it, the bike went down hard — email us. We usually sort out a replacement at a discount rather than leaving you without a pack.

The 30-day money-back return

Separate from the warranty: if the product is not right for you, you have 30 days to send it back for a full refund. Sweat in it first — that is the whole point. Return shipping is on us if the item is defective; if you simply changed your mind, it is yours to cover. Full details on the return policy page.
