HydraQuiver Single Barrel: Ideal for road running

I've had the HydraQuiver for about 3 years and it still looks new-- very durable. I probably own every iteration of hydration device-- belt, handheld, vest-- and me this is, by far, the most comfortable.

I have been using this for nonstop for 3 years! I just bought a second one. How did I ever live without it

I was looking for something that would allow me to use bottles of on-course drinking options like Gatorade in my upcoming Ironman yet spare me from having to carry them in my hand or some sloshy waste belt. This pack rides nicely high on my back and should significantly cooler than my hydration vest. The holster is easy to find while running and I like that it’s built to use a standard bottle. It’s still early days with this pack but so far, I really like it.

Have used this for runs up to 10K so far both on the road and treadmill. Key is to keep the straps loose and not too tight. Easy to adjust and access the bottle. Only suggestion would be to add locking/unlocking clips like on a race belt for easy on and off. Comfortable and holds any phone and lots of gear.

I have had the opportunity to do a couple of runs in the HydraQuiver Single Barrel and I can say that it is a solid aid when running that comes with something not mentioned in the product details. Yes the water bottle is easy to use and comes out and goes in with not much of an effort. This design has one other benefit that I don't think you realize until you actually begin to use it. Since the straps come up under your arms and given that the the back has a very nice cushion built in I actually find myself correcting my stance as I run. I can tend to hunch over after a few miles but the one thing this item does is it rides easily and the cushion does not pound against your back and I just naturally find myself in a better upper body position with this hydration pack strapped onto me. There is plenty of room in the back for a phone and such but also two shoulder storage areas that are really quite convenient. If you are looking for something to replace running with a bottle in your hand this is definitely something to consider, I really enjoy it.
