good so far but still adjusting

I've only worn it twice so far. I had watched the helpful videos so I knew to adjust the straps under the arm nice and snug. The 2 straps across the chest have been a bit challenging to the point that last time I ran I didn't even use them. Challenging for a female with a medium size chest ... straps aren't long enough to go across center of chest. When I pull them up (as far as they go) so they both lie across upper part of my chest unfortunately that also seems to tip the vest pack back a smidge as well, so it sets lower between the shoulder blades. Sitting lower makes it a bit more challenging retrieve and return bottle from its holder. Also I've got the straps under the arms as tight as they will go and while I think its good enough, I feel like it would be better if a bit more snug, especially if not using the chest straps. Maybe having 2 sizes instead of a 1 size fits all? I've got a 2+ hour run on my schedule for this weekend and plan on wearing it so we'll see how it goes.

Orange Mud, LLC

Hi Jennifer! When you adjust the side straps be sure to check if the strap keeper is preventing them from being able to tighten further. I've had this pack on 8 year olds that fit well to put the sizing in reference so usually when we hear the above it's because something is preventing the tension from going further. As far as the front chest straps, one adjustment you could try is to loosen the sides and tighten the front to exactly where you want them, then adjust the side straps. Once you find the sweet spot you can always cut off excess webbing on the sides of the pack.

Feel free to call or email us too with any questions as we'll happily help dial in fit! sales@orangemud.com or 714-602-9977

Wicked Incredible!

Took my quiver vest out on its maiden voyage and I only have one word… HolyFreakingCow!!!

No bounce whatsoever and the vest was snugged up perfectly on my 18 mile run! Glad I took the chance!!

Great trail running vest

I use this to run/hike 1-2hrs on steep terrain in isolated locations, where it’s prudent to carry bear spray. I wanted quick access to the spray if needed, but also have an extremely minimal pack to just keep water and phone out of my hands/pocket. This pack is perfect. I’m a big-framed guy (6’2”, 240lbs) and have no trouble with fit (even have to cinch it down some). Allows me to carry bear mace in one of the front pockets, plus-sized phone with plenty of room to spare in the other, and water in the back. Bottle fits super snug and stays put during sprinting, scrambling, sliding, and even face-planting (but don’t test this for yourself…).

One thing to be aware of is you will hear the water sloshing around as you move…but that’s just physics vs pack design. Also, I find it can get a bit loose if you move around a lot. For my purposes, neither of these minor issues bother me.

Perfect for carrying a little extra

I own the single barrel pack and needed to have more room for storing food, etc for longer runs. I have a couple of vests, but most of the storage is in the back and I can’t reach it during a run without taking the whole vest off. I just used this pack on my 20 mile run and it had enough room for all of the food I needed. I will potentially use one of the front pockets for extra water if the temp is high. I switched out the back bottle for the larger one with the orange cap. I also cut the side straps down after adjusting the pack to my size. These packs are my favorite because you cannot feel the weight of the water on your back.
