Perfect features, but not for biking

The size and features of this pack are perfect. The size and shape of the pack body are spot on; there are just enough pockets and features to be functional, but not too many as to be cluttered. Like other Orange Mud packs this sits high up on the back between upper shoulder blades--I love that fit on my endurance pack, but when riding a bike, I don't want the load up that high. However, when I let the chest straps out all the way so that the back sits lower when I ride (I've taken this on several short bikepacking trips with both a gravel and mountain bike) the chest pockets end up sitting on top of my shoulders or are otherwise too high and not where they feel good or function. I'd love it if there was some more shoulder strap between the pack-body and the chest pockets so that the pack could ride lower on my back while cycling. This might be a function of personal preference and the fact that I'm 6'5". But it works great for hiking and running.

Love my Orang Mud 20L Adventure Pack

I bought this over a year ago and really hadn't been using it until the past six months. Wow! Am I using it. I mountain bike, trail run, and hike. I've used it for all three activities with appropriate gear for each one: always a first aid kit, just in case clothes, snacks and then an MTB tire kit or hiking poles.

I don't notice I have this pack on. It conforms to my body, fits really well, and doesn't bounce, which has been my main concern with carrying any hydration pack. I live in the deserts of Utah, so I'm going to add a 3L Hydrapak to my pack so I can carry one bigger hydration pack or two, enough for tough trails in the desert.

I bring too much gear probably, but I've always been that way, the adjustable size of the pack makes it easy to do too much, too little, or just enough.

It has gotten caught on trees. I've landed on it when do a Blue Sky Dismount on my bike and have had not problems. Love it. Get one.

It will go the distance

I bought this pack as I was training for the Tahoe 200 endurance run. It was perfect not only for the training but for the race, which took me through country around Lake Tahoe. With aid stations that were 15-20 miles apart, and variable mountain weather, I needed something that would carry my gear and plenty of water. It was perfect!

I bought a second one for my husband, and we use them now for fastpacking adventures, hiking 14ers, and just running around the neighborhood on hot days.

It's an awesome pack!

OUTSTANDING

This is perfect for me at 6' 180 lbs. More than enough space for jacket and other items (first aid, kit, jacket, and consumables. Once cinched, this pack sits snugly between my shoulders with little to no pressure. From the beginning I new the design was first rate.

I also recognized I needed to modify the pack, to allow for quick adjustment of the pack straps to get underway. The "tabs" to snug the pack, are almost impossible to grab, I had to add 550 cord to it. Once this was completed. The pack is perfect for me.

Great job!
