Great Pack so far..

Really like this pack for longer unsupported runs. I have two issues with the gear. First issue, I got the trekking pole hardware version (basically two bungee/plastic clip included) of the pack. I could not use them to secure two poles to one side of the pack because they would be too heavy and imbalance the pack and the cords are way to short to fit around both poles. Ok, so lets move one clip to each side. They fit around each pole fine enough, but now you have one secure point trying to hold a pole that is a foot and a half long. They basically flop everywhere. I ended up stuffing the ends into the outer pocket and securing the top of the pole which at least somewhat held them. After goofing around run after run, my solution is to come back and buy another set of trekking clips for $10. Long story short, for the cost of the pole upgrade, the pack should come standard with 4 clips to secure the poles at the top and bottom of the pack on the left and right.

The other minor deal is when running minus the bladder or anything in the back, it flops around quite a bit. There is a vertical cinching strap down the middle of the pack, but having another outer horizontal strap going across the middle of the pack could cinch it that much more so there would be no bounce or movement.

Other than those minor gripes, love the pack and all the other stuff from OM. Keep on innovating!

Great Commuter Pack

I've been using this pack for the last several months on my 10 mile commute to work. Plenty of room for all of the essentials - change of clothes, shoes, and lunch. Great setup gives me easy access to phone and water.

Perfect for my Rim to Rim to Rim adventure.

Ideal pack for travel and adventure. Had plenty of space for all my travel and adventure necessities. This was the only baggage I needed on the plane and during my 2 day adventure. Comfortable with

lots of room.

I don't think I'd ever buy another brand of pack again

I used it all last season and hand washed it with Woolite a few times (I used it for races and training so it got stinky) and it's in great condition. The 2 liter HydroPak Elite reservioir that is GREAT quality, I bought a mouthpiece cover separately for it and tuck the mouthpiece in one of the strap pockets. I bought a Camelbak military grade 3 liter one because I ran a Spartan Beast and I read somewhere that during the Open Waves they don't have water stations and I wanted to be prepared. I had no problem fitting the Camelbak 3 liter reservoir in it, but had to get creative to rig it so it wouldn't move around. There is a lace-up thingy on the outside to bind it up, but I took it off so it wouldn't get caught up on barbed wire...I used that to secure the 3 liter reservoir inside. Hashtag: ingenuity.

It has multiple pockets and a huge amount of space inside for nourishments. I keep SaltStick tablets in the super-accessible pockets on the straps. I kept some wet wipes in it just in case I had to relieve myself on the course, and I also kept some Tiger Balm in there just in case. And the pack still stayed close enough to me that I got through 3 barbed wire crawls no problem.

The straps on the side truly make it adjustable to be comfortable for women and the straps do not do the bicep rub thing when I am running. It has 2 small buckles across the chest that are easy on/easy off. and it has a safety whistle in one of the buckles. Any time I go hiking, this thing will be my…

Glad you dig it and best of luck in training and racing! FYI-We do have a 3L bladder on our site that this pack is designed around as opposed to the Camelbak ones that don't mount the same.

Thanks!

Long Training, No Water? No Problem!

I go on a lot of self-supported, long training runs for ultras where there are little to no water stops. So I usually have to carry a lot of fuel, water, and layers depending on time of year. So the 20L Adventure Pack is PERFECT for these types of training runs. Also, if you're going on an all-day adventure run or hiking for long hours of the day, this is great to carry everything you need while staying comfortable and lightweight.
