I have found this Orange Mud minimalist vest to be a great piece of gear for me. I do not like to carry flasks in my hands (because I have nerve damage in my legs/feet thus I tend to trip frequently running trails), and I don’t like weight on my back (five back surgeries). Though I tend to run more 100 mile and beyond ultras (and thus my training runs can be rather long), I find this “vest” to hold all I need—water bottle, phone or tracker, a few bites of something, a packet or two of drink powder, and a few dollars for an unplanned stop. It doesn’t bounce much at all, and tends to move with my body while running.
My only suggestions are: a flap or something to secure items in the back pouch, a little padding near the connectors, and for us less flexible people, a better way to tighten the straps without having to take it off (since I tend to feel smaller as I run).
