A highly breathable and durable mesh yields maximum heat release in a tough package. The pack is stretchy, but has a balance of maintaining form while allowing plenty of movement. This pack is excellent for carrying your fluids while running and riding. The front harness is stretchy so you can breathe during movement.
  • Mountain Bike: Extremely stable on your body across the choppy stuff, and we extended the shoulder area a bit to allow freedom of movement. 4 front pockets allow for quick access of your essentials on the fly.
  • Running: Short runs or as long as you want to go. This hydration pack is loaded with features to take you any distance.
  • Hiking: The conforming fit and quick access pockets paired with a very breathable frame means hiking bliss.

Fit: This pack is designed to be friendly with your curves. Just slide the sliders up and down to find the optimal fit and adjust the sides snug. Max chest size is around a 42” chest. But.....guess what! We just got in a shipment where we added 8" per side of adjustment. So now you can go up to a 52" chest easily for run and ride, or 54" or so for run! Just please put in the order notes that you want the larger straps and we'll make sure we ship this way.

V2.0 vs. V1.0

I have used packs from all of the usual manufacturers, and OM is still my favorite, and will continue to be so for as long as my knees do not betray me. You are now the first company I turn to when I need an excuse to buy more running gear. These are the most comfortable packs.

I also admire how OM continues to try and improve the Endurance Pack 4L. I like the V1.0 so much that when I learned that a V2.0 was available, I immediately ordered it without even comparing it to the V1.0 that I am already familiar with. I couldn’t imagine how the V1.0 could have been possibly improved upon.

I will continue to run with the V1.0.

Pros of the V2.0

- Roomer chest pockets: 500mL flasks now comfortably fit.

- ’Trash’ pockets: I don’t use these, but these extra pockets are not intrusive and could be helpful in scenarios I haven’t thought of.

Cons of the V2.0 (Why I am sticking with the V1.0)

- Chest straps: These feel too light, bordering on flimsy compared to the elastics chest straps on the 1.0. I have barely used this pack and from the first time I took it out in the field, I immediately imagined breaking these based on how light they feel and stretch. This isn’t a ’secure flexibility’ as in the elastic straps on the V1.0. The V1.0 straps are beefier and more sturdy.

- Chest strap sliders: These are not as secure as the hook attachments on the V1.0. While the V1.0 hooks take a little more effort to adjust to dial in the fit, once in place, there they will remain. ’Set it and…

SUP Racing

I got the Endurance pack for long duration paddleboard races. I can fit a second 2L bladder in, giving me 4L of hydration and nutrition. It was perfect for the 32 mile Chattajack race at the end of October.

Orange Mud Endurance Pack 4L

This pack is awesome for long unsupported runs and hikes (w/trekking pole option). I just completed a self-supported 50k with this pack on the PCT using 2L bladder with water and two 600ml soft flasks in the front pockets with my electrolyte drink mix. This pack fits like a glove and has plenty of adjustment for all shapes and sizes. It’s also got plenty of storage for other food and items you may need for longer outings.

Why did I wait so long! Love it.

I never thought I would want or need a hydration pack. Well as I progressed in distance running I was thinking about even further runs. So on a whim I bought this and immediately went out for 10 miles to try in out. Works perfectly, no movement, easy to adjust to fit, no bounce, easy to clean, Thanks OMCrew.

A handheld will be ordered next for short runs. Orange Mud quality and design is 100% on point.

Incredibly versatile pack, fits really well, no jiggle

I use this for hiking, trail running, and road running. My iphone 8 fits well in either the smaller shoulder pouch or the larger front pocket. The hydration pack is pretty quiet relative to other packs I tried. When I use this for hiking I can strap a ton of stuff into and onto this. I like how the v2 has sliding adjustments for the front straps, ensuring I get perfect placement for the straps. The highly-adjustable side straps also ensure a snug fit that's breathable (vs other vests that use a ton of fabric on the sides). i love this thing!
