Note: Orange is preorder only, ships 5-15!

Our 12L and 20L packs both have the same footprint, chest harness, and materials, but we shrunk it down on the 12L to maximize stability and load management for journeys that require less gear. Our load leveling system works amazingly well to stabilize odd or sloshy water bladders/bottles/gear in the bottom of the pack by compressing the back vertically. The shock cord layout on the back compresses horizontally too in case you have it packed really light.

The top of the bag opens through a military grade zipper and quick access to the divided cargo area and bladder.

The elastic chest harness works wonderfully for ladies and just as well for guys. Sizing is quite versatile too from the very petite up to about a 52" chest. If you fit our Endurance Pack, which works for 99% of users, you'll love this fit.

The front chest harness has soft flask storage of 450ml or 600ml. These are for optional purchase and can be purchased at this link. Soft Flask The two small pockets in front of the flask pockets are for gels/trash/etc. There are also two shoulder pockets for your phone, chapstick, and nutrition.

The rear compartment features bladder storage for up to 3L bladders. We prefer the 2L bladder, which it comes with.

The right side of the pack has a 9" long zippered opening for access to maps, jackets, headlamps. The size of the pockets reaches across the pack, so you can really load it up. It's integration inside the pack also creates a divider when loading gear from the top.

The left side of the pack features a bottle compartment which holds most any water bottle, and the 1" bar tacked nylon on the back works great for holding trekking poles with our optional Trekking Pole upgrade.

Weight without bladder: 18oz

Made in: Vietnam

Sport focus: Ride, Run, Adventure.

Trail and ultrarunning / Fastpacking - When the weather turns nasty and you need more gear, or when you need more fluid and safety items for going long!

Mountain Biking - Perfect for long unsupported rides and races where you need a bit extra gear.

Adventure Racing - 24 hour races and shorter.

Hiking - Just perfect for this!

Extra bladders here. Note: it comes with the 2L, but a 1L or 3L will fit in it too.

Stoked I bought this pack!

I have used the double-barrel hydraquiver for races but needed something with more storage for an ultra endurance run. I tested out Adventure Pack 12L on a trail run over the weekend and all I can say is OrangeMud delivered once again - these guys think of everything and use excellent materials. Great product!

Way beyond what I could have expected.

I was very skeptical of this pack. I am a very minimalist runner and don't like running with a lot of bulk on me. As a trail race director, however, I need to be out on trails for long periods of time with lots of gear along my race courses. I was sold on Orange Mud by seeing SO MANY of my runners wearing their packs at my races. I am shocked at two main things. First, the amount of gear I can put in this thing. I can pack enough to be out on the trail ALL DAY and never run out of water or be without essential gear. Second, COMFORT! Even when I have this thing loaded up and weighing close to 20 pounds it doesn't bounce or move around at all. It feel like part of my body. The elastic chest straps, easily adjustable side straps, and comfortable shoulder and back material make this think just disappear. I forget I even have it on despite how heavy I might make it.

This pack beat my expectations!

I purchased the 12 liter Adventure Pack with intentions of using it only for hiking with my family and to climb a couple of peaks this summer.

Really, I was shopping for something that could hold a puffy jacket and a pair of shoes, as well as a camera and plenty to eat and drink, including a couple liters of water.

Today I loaded it up with lots of things and took it on a test run, first hiking uphill and then running a pretty seriously steep downhill.

I was surprised at how small the contact area on my back was, for a pack this size. I was even happier about how little the pack shifted while I was running with it, even though I was carrying a full 20-ounce water bottle in the front pocket. Also, there was plenty of room for my arms to swing without bumping the front pockets!

I thought it looked a little strange at the top of the pack where it zips; but, I realized after purchasing that it's the perfect shape for putting a sleeping bag in.

I have been wearing Orange Mud packs for several years now and have not been disappointed with any of them.

This pack is going to get a lot more use than I ever expected! I'm so glad I got it.
