The Gear Vest Pro is designed to be small on your back, but big on storage for endurance events. We took the same tiny footprint of our Gear Vest, but added rear cargo like the Endurance Pack (but we actually made it a bit more roomy than the EP so you can really load this up!). Plus we added trekking pole attachment areas on the front and back in 8 locations.

This pack is fantastic for running and riding short to super long distances. The 1L/35oz included bladder in the back has a typical range for most of 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours, but you can add soft flasks up front to increase your range. The oversized chest pockets hold plus sized phones, arm warmers, glasses and such wonderfully too, and the shoulder pockets are great for backup nutrition, sunglasses, gels, electrolytes and more.

The key to fit, cinch the sides first, not the front, until you feel the pack anchor on your shoulders. Then adjust the front harness as needed so you can breathe during movement.

Fits soft flask in 500ml (500ml-LINK) and 600ml (600ml-LINK) in the front chest pockets. Optional Trekking Pole Hardware Link

Specs: Weight: 11.2oz, Bladder Size: 1L (35oz) included. Made: Vietnam. Sport Focus: Ride, Run, Explore. Cargo: 5L

Pocket config: Pocket 1 - 1L Bladder, Pocket 2 - Bulk Cargo, Pocket 3 - Zipper secured cargo and secure key clip.

Comfortable Fit for a Larger Runner

I am so happy that I bought this vest, even though I was trying to get away from a bladder-style vest. I actually first tried the Double HydraQuiver, but I just couldn't get comfortable with the fit. Orange Mud has a great policy and gladly took it back for a full refund. The Gear Vest Pro fits high on my back, and is very comfortable with a small bladder in the back and two 12 oz hard plastic bottles in the front, with plenty of additional room for fuel and a phone. I am a larger guy, 5'10", 235# and have difficulty finding a comfortable vest...but I hardly know this vest is there. One tip... pay attention to the instructions regarding adjusting it...cinch down the side straps before the chest straps...it makes a difference.

Forget the rest, this one works!

After 22 years as a Marine I vowed to never, ever wear a backpack again. And then I discovered gravel riding. Backpack after hydration backpack came and went and not one was even close to be comfortable. Why in the world did they all lie so low?

At Dirty Kanza this year I was introduced to Orange Mud. Skeptical sure but one use and I was convinced. No chafing, no sway, no bounce...I am a believer!

Orange Mud 2L goes with me on every ride and this week at the Crusher was a tool I did not want to be without...

A great experience as a first-time user of Orange Mud products!

I recently was given the chance to try out the OM Gear Vest Pro as a BibRave Pro. I have to say I am really loving the vest! I own 2 other packs, so it was interesting to try a different brand. It is lightweight and rides high on my back, which allows me to stay cool/dry. I also like how adjustable the straps are; a great fit for a variety of sizes (I had friends try it on as well). I wish I had this at my last ultra, but look forward to many more miles in the future. Next up is to wear this on a longer bike ride!
