The Vest Pack 2 utilizes a 3D spacer mesh that provides a plush honeycomb softness against your skin while maintaining maximum breathability. Featuring 2 24oz BPA free bottles in the back, 2 mesh chest pockets, 2 mesh shoulder pockets, and a rugged shock cord in the back for jackets. This pack is extremely light, extremely breathable, stable under speed yet comfortable for the long haul.

The way to fit this pack is to clip the front chest harness (don't tighten), then cinch the sides nice and snug while leaving the front chest strap loose. This tension is very important as it controls the fit from the sides and the front chest strap once set won't have to be readjusted.

  1. Weight without bottles: 10oz.
  2. iPhone, standard size, will fit in the shoulder pockets. Plus sized phones will fit in the optional Modular Bag (link) or in the front chest pockets.
  3. Storage = 198 cubic inches.

Works double duty.

Load up one bottle with water and one with an electrolyte drink. The bottles sit high and don’t bounce, although the liquid in it sloshes around some. I’m not flexible at all and have no trouble grabbing these on the run. They’re super quick to refill at aid station as well.

Ironman husband LOVES it!

I gave this as a Christmas gift after talking to Orange Mud reps at IMAZ and my Ironman has worn it every training run since he opened it. He reports that "it feels like nothing" and "all my stuff is right here"! [he gestures at the front straps]. This is a miracle of engineering. Thanks so much for helping my Ironman stay comfortable and hydrated even on the longest runs.

Great hydration system

This is my second hydration pack from Orange Mud, I also have the Hydroquiver Double Barrel. I have worn both on runs up to 20 miles and I prefer the fit and feel of the Vest Pack 2 - 2.0. I also like the chest pockets on the VP2. Both packs are a great way to carry 2 bottles and food. The bottles are extremely easy to slide in and out.

Iron-worthy

I bought this because I wanted a pack where I had more awareness of how much hydration I was taking in during races. I wore it for my second Ironman and wish I had it during my first. I’m a steady racer/marathoner and take over 6 hours to cover the distance. Not once did I feel uncomfortable in the pack. I can’t wait to wear it next season!

So far so good

I was a little skeptical of this pack but my friend highly recommended it. I thought "ugh its kind of expensive to just try" but I did and happy to report I love it. None of the issues I was worried about are a factor. There is plenty of room for my phone and a couple snacks. I am marathon training and wear this one on my long runs and actually just purchased the single for my 12 milers and under. I'll keep you posted on that one when it arrives.
