Amazed by great design

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to say something about the “HydraQuiver Double Barrel Hydration Pack”. I’ve had mine for about four years, and I’ve probably run at least 500 miles with it – mostly training runs and a couple marathons. It’s wonderful. Before I bought it, I was looking at some bladder-based hydration packs. I like the Double Barrel better, because I can clean the bottles so easily, and I don’t have to worry about mold forming in any tubes. I admit the Double Barrel felt a little strange when I first tried it, but I got used to it after about five minutes of running. It’s really well designed. For instance, the adjustable shoulder straps are easy to loosen and tighten on the run. Just pull to tighten and tilt the buckle to loosen. Another nice design touch is that there are little elastic loops to hold the loose ends of the shoulder straps so they don’t flop around. There are also a couple Velcro pouches that are perfect for nutrition like Gu packets. There is a zippered pouch on the back to hold keys or a phone. It’s great to put my keys in there so they’re not flopping around in my pocket ready to fall out. I’ve gotten good at reinserting the bottles into the holders on the run. The only negative that I really worried about before I bought it was that someone said the sloshing sound of the water was annoying. I haven’t been bothered by this, especially when I’m listening to something through my earbuds. Every time I run with the Double Barrel, I’m…

Hydraquiver Double Barrel

This is my first time using anything from Orange Mud, and I am very impressed with the quality and thought they put into their products. Getting to the bottles while running is extremely easy and you don't break your stride. I use the shoulder pockets for my nutrition and it works great because it's right there, no fumbling to get to anything.

Hydration on point.

Kudos to you guys! I was told about orange mud hydration holsters by an avid marathoner. As I’m running my first marathon this year he was explaining all of what goes into training, hydration being one of those things. I bought the holster the day he mentioned it. Have used it on my long runs and its been a life saver. No only do I have water and nutrients at my finger tips but I have something to keep my mind off of just running, lol; As I do my best to get the bottles back where they belong. You guys are dope. Thanks for making such a useful product.

Very comfortable hydration pack

This pack is very comfortable. I am 5’1”, 105 lbs, and it fits quite well. I’ve worn it for 3 1/2 hour runs, and it felt great the entire time. I love it’s versatility as well! I also have the single barrel, and love it too.

Double Barrel Fun

The Double Barrel pack is a great way to carry your hydration for those long runs. Easy to grab and go and easy to put back into the holsters. The pack also helps to keep you posture on point and not hunching your shoulders over. Also great storage to carry gels, cell phone, ipod, what ever you may need on the run. Two small reasons that I'm not giving 5 stars, 1 there are times that I do find the shoulder straps a little snug on, I have broad shoulders. 2 the straps do have a habit of loosening while your run and you have to pull to tighten. Other than that, it's a great product and I'll continue to use it on my runs.

Thanks for the feedback Mike! Would you mind sending me a picture of the plastic tensioners on the end of the shoulders? They should never loosen, so wondering if something is off there. As always appreciate the help and feedback!
